Symptom data, health journal entries, and health preferences you enter are stored locally on your device using standard iOS data storage. This data is not transmitted to CareFind servers or third parties.
CareFind is NOT a covered entity under HIPAA and is NOT a medical device. CareFind does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or clinical decision support. All health-related features are for general informational purposes only.
Your health data may be included in iCloud backups if you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device. To prevent this, disable iCloud Backup in your device Settings.

Your health journal entries, appointment data, and symptom information are encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM encryption. The encryption key is stored in the iOS Keychain, which is protected by your device's Secure Enclave hardware.
This means your health data is encrypted at rest on your device. Even if someone accesses your device's file system, they cannot read your health data without your device passcode.
Non-sensitive data such as display preferences and onboarding status are stored without encryption.
No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
