Information We Collect

CareFind collects the following information to provide and improve our services:

• Account information (name, email) when you create an account
• Health preferences and symptom data you voluntarily enter
• Saved providers and appointment history
• Device information and usage analytics

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Match you with appropriate healthcare providers
• Process and manage appointment requests
• Personalize your experience and recommendations
• Improve our services and develop new features
• Communicate important updates about your care

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Healthcare providers you choose to contact or book with
• Service providers who assist in app operations (hosting, analytics)
• Law enforcement when required by law

Health Data

Symptom data, health journal entries, and health preferences you enter are stored locally on your device using standard iOS data storage. This data is not transmitted to CareFind servers or third parties.

CareFind is NOT a covered entity under HIPAA and is NOT a medical device. CareFind does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or clinical decision support. All health-related features are for general informational purposes only.

Your health data may be included in iCloud backups if you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device. To prevent this, disable iCloud Backup in your device Settings.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Data Security

Your health journal entries, appointment data, and symptom information are encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM encryption. The encryption key is stored in the iOS Keychain, which is protected by your device's Secure Enclave hardware.

This means your health data is encrypted at rest on your device. Even if someone accesses your device's file system, they cannot read your health data without your device passcode.

Non-sensitive data such as display preferences and onboarding status are stored without encryption.

No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

You may:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data
• Opt out of non-essential communications
• Request a copy of your data
• Delete your account at any time

Children's Privacy

CareFind is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
